I investigate allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and workplace misconduct as an independent third party. I have no stake in the outcome and no relationship with anyone involved — which is precisely what makes the finding defensible.

Every interview follows the same process. Every party gets the same opportunity to respond. That’s not a courtesy — it’s what makes the finding survive review.

What I investigate

  • Discrimination — race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, and other protected characteristics under federal and Washington law.
  • Harassment — sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and the subtler patterns of conduct that rarely appear in a single incident.
  • Retaliation — adverse action following a complaint, participation in someone else’s complaint, or a protected leave request.
  • Workplace misconduct — policy violations, abusive management, conflicts of interest, and ethical breaches.

What you receive

  • A written report stating each allegation, the evidence considered, and whether it is substantiated, unsubstantiated, or inconclusive.
  • Credibility determinations where accounts conflict — with the reasoning shown, not just the conclusion.
  • A complete investigative file: interview summaries, documents reviewed, and the chronology.
  • A live debrief with your decision-makers.

What you won’t receive: a recommendation on discipline.

My role is to determine what happened. What you do about it is your decision, and keeping that line clean is part of what makes the finding hold.
